I'll be honest: This site might not be for you.
If you don't value studying, training, and becoming better at your Jiu-Jitsu, work, and life, then this site is definitely not for you.
But if you do value those things then you're welcome to join our growing community!
Here are some answers to questions you may have...
What is this?
The Fourth Stripe currently is consisted of two things:
A free newsletter featuring ideas and resources to help you discover, share, and enhance your Jiu-Jitsu.
This website, featuring a collection of modern techniques, insights, healthy tips, and personal growth.
In this newsletter, I also promote other channels and other Jiu-Jitsu newsletters because I believe in sharing the best resources with other people.
Jiu-Jitsu should be communal and the knowledge behind it shouldn’t be hoarded. It’s the best way to evolve the sport.
About Me
Hi, I’m Wayne. I’m a Jiu-Jitsu enthusiast, just like you, who enjoys building a community by sharing knowledge and resources with others. I work a 9-5 but still enjoy training consistently and keeping myself ready for competition.
We know Jiu-Jitsu provides a sense of healthy challenges, social interactions, and personal growth. There's nothing better than a supportive teammate helping you push through rough patches.
I hope to extend my support to others through my newsletter, The Fourth Stripe.
Why is it called The Fourth Stripe?
“Don’t chase promotions, just focus on learning.”
Although this statement isn’t wrong, you shouldn’t ignore the progress you’ve invested in yourself.
Stripes and belt promotions are a representation of how far you’ve come, how hard you’ve worked, and how much more you can explore.
The Fourth Stripe represents a pivotal point in your journey and also serves as a reflecting point to better understand the development of your art.
Regardless of where you are, there is always room for growth.
