Half Guard Passing System

This week, we’ll take a look at the next step…what to do when you pass the Knee Shield.

Before you start studying these techniques, understand when you need to use them.

It’s all based on how your partner is reacting.

Studying this system will help you in other positions since this position will “play out slower,” giving you the time to think and understand what’s going on in the live spar.

For you blue belts, you should look into the bolo stuff.

JIU-JITSU LONGEVITY

Tight Shoulders?

Use your belt or a resistance band to get started.

Fluid motion in your shoulders will help you roll through escapes and move better on the mats.

Don’t Glorify The Broken

A weird flex I hear now are

What is this called? “Suffer bragging” might be the appropriate term.

And exists outside of Jiu-Jitsu as well.

We all have those coworkers who brag about how busy they are…

“I have 300 unread emails!”

“Sorry for not returning your call 3 months ago, I’ve just been soooo busy.”

If you’re not making the time, it’s not a priority.

If you’re hurt all the time, maybe you should spend more time taking care of yourself rather than talking about it.
